This is a beautiful and newish facility. The assisted living staff has been great with my mom fifty-fifty during this horrible pandemic. They are thoughtful and trying to make the all-time of a very tough situation. The restaurant staff is over the top and do everything they can to brand certain the residents savor their meals. I wish I could accept care of my mom on my own merely since I tin't, I'm glad Rockynol is here for u.s.a..

Rooms lovely but cleaning very superficial. Very understaffed. Long waits 30-45 min for bathroom assist . Pt. left alone in bath for same long waits before render to bed. Supervisor promised to review times for phone call light records merely never followed through. Oft over one hr delays in receiving pain medicine. Attempted to give incorrect medication on more than one occasion.

My mother-in-law has moved into Ohio Living Rockynol. Information technology's a very pretty, excellent community that caters to more wealthy clients. The staff members are very nice and caring. The rooms are lovely. You can have your own paintings, and they'll hang everything for you and place all your furniture. They're very good. My mother-in-police force has a bedroom and a bath. Information technology's very large and has very nice paintings. It has plenty of room like a regular apartment.

I visited this facility
The apartments of Rockynol were first class. The staff and the people were very nice and warm. They accept speakers coming in to the facility. The food was absolutely outstanding.

My mom is at Rockynol. She is doing OK at that place. My biggest concern is what happens when she runs out of money because she is individual pay correct now. Regarding the staff, 80% are skillful, and 20% are not so proficient. What happens is when they transfer my mom and put her on the toilet, they'll leave her, and she'll sit in that location for a adept long fourth dimension waiting for them to come dorsum and help her get dorsum in her wheelchair. That has been the large frustration for her. I have complained about that, and I think it has gotten better. Also at that place are some foods that my mom prefers not to have. When they accept those kinds of foods, they practise have alternatives, only they are non much of an alternative. If my mom doesn't want to eat spaghetti, she'll become a unmarried grilled cheese sandwich. No soup offer and no apple sauce offering -- just a single grilled cheese sandwich. I don't like information technology. They aren't e'er very compassionate nigh offering her alternatives. There is plenty of nutrient and enough of variety, it is but a thing of them offering and getting information technology for her. Simply every bit I've said, that's just 15 to xx% of the experience; lxxx to 85% of experiences are fine and proficient. I visited this facility
The people that I ran across at Rockynol were friendly and helpful. The apartments were clean and laid out well, and information technology seemed that information technology will suffice -- spacewise -- for one person and some of them could exist two person apartments. Their dining room seemed like it was laid out well, and the décor was nice. They had multi activities from exercise to going places to shopping and entertainment trips.

My mom stayed at the Rockynol Retirement Customs for a while. The rooms were very nice and many of their aides were outstanding. She shared a room, only the side that she had was a nice view and information technology was pleasant. She was staying in the rehab part, it may be different from an actual apartment, but overall the ambience was as good equally it can be. It had a wonderful PT department, the concrete therapy was excellent.

I stayed in Rockynol for two weeks. Information technology was one of the oldest facilities in the area and this one was considered the better 1. I was staying in a very nice room, it was just refurbished. The staff were very nice. Still, the food they served there was too salty for me. I also wasn't able to participate in some activities because those that I liked were not in the same edifice as I was at that time. I didn't accept the capability to go to other buildings because of my inability to get effectually real well.

My experience was positive. Staff was e'er attentive to patients and helpful with questions or conerns that family members take. The facility was always clean and had a positive atmopshere. They exercise special things for their residents like have "Bing Night" and accolade their birthdates. My grandmother'south favorite thing was to get soak in the "big tub". They allowed their residents occasional baths in a tub with jets. The food was ok. There is room for improvement with the food selection. Nevertheless, most of the residents seemed to be happy and enjoying their time at Rockynol. Upon my grandmother'southward passing, the nursing facility was very respectful of the family and gracious in working with hospice. They were obliging and many of the staff attended her funeral services. The staff seems to course special bonds with their residents. This facility is especially nice because they offer different levels of aid. This is a place that you can spend the residuum of your days in comfort and with loftier quality care.

My dad spent several weeks in this facility. He came there after spending nine days in the hospital. When he arrived from the hospital no one explained how things worked and what to expect on a daily basis. I constantly had to inquire qustions. I call back they were under staffed with help. Food was inferior. Therapy team was great! Some nurses were ameliorate than others. My dad is withal able to think clearly and communicate so he was able to limited his demand for medication, etc. I don't remember I'd chose to place him in that location for assistant living.

Rockynol Assisted Living has a beautiful campus, most the very diverse Highland Foursquare area, in Akron, OH. It has two large ponds, with huge koi and geese that render every year, and memory gardens and trees throughout. There are Independent Living Apartments, an Assisted Living Unit, a Special Care Unit, and a Nursing Care facility. They've recently added a beautiful non-demoninational chapel. The Assisted Living Facility has many activities, and outings, including shopping, lunches and dinners out, and campus wide cocktail parties on Fridays. The Special Care Unit is improving, every bit far as staff training, care, activities, and consistency in staffing. They are working to improve their noesis of handling with dementia and Alzheimer's residents. The Nursing Intendance Unit of measurement is recommended for rehabilitation after hospital stays or surgeries, and residents that require more intense medical care. Both of my parents have been in the Assisted Living, Medical Nursing Unit, and now Special Intendance. They moved in in May of 2006, and I would move them there over again today. At that place are many facilities nearby, but Rockynol has been chosen #one for seven years in a row. No identify is perfect, just I at present find Rockynol willing to consider new ideas, new data, and new treatments. Equally long as they're working towards improvement, I can't enquire for more.

This is a cute place on the exterior, but the service is poor. I have notice it takes at least 45 minutes or longer for the staff to answer your call light. The aides (staff) are rude to the residents, and the rooms are not properly cleaned by housekeeping, and their is a lot of falls by the residents and you never get a report near the incident until hours later or the next day.. The residents clothing comes up missing or stolen. The personal care that the residents are receiving is non high quality for the cost they are charging the these people and their families is outrageous. The food is e'er late and cold. I would non recommend this facility.

My female parent was here for rehab and had an awful experience. The gave her stool softeners when she didn't need them and she ended up with diarrhea and we had a hard fourth dimension getting them to give her immodium so she could accept some relief. They took her apparel to laundry and she had aught to wear but a infirmary gown. I took her clothes and she had to wear them the next two mean solar day because they never did detect her laundry. Their response fourth dimension is horrible. She asked for tissues and three hours later on she got them. We had to practice window visits and they would only open the window a ane/4 of the way. I would never recommend anyone to get hither unless they're being punished for a federal offense. Nosotros got her out before her rehab was finished because the care is so bad.

I had a 97 year. old aunt at the rehab center. We noticed i day nosotros wasn't wearing her own clothes, which her daughter provided. The staff seemed to accept lost them and provided our aunt with other people clothes to article of clothing...uncaring of the size or fit. But the worst part was that about half way through her stay they lost her hearing aids. Call up about information technology, for her last calendar week of her stay she couldn't hear us, through a one-half open up window, and now that she is dwelling house and still missing the hearing aids it's difficult on caring for her and dangerous in not being able to hear what going on around her. At present, today, they have non institute the hearing aids or our aunts wearing apparel, continually saying they are looking for them. It's been weeks.

Living in Akron Rockynol was ever the place you lot wanted your relatives to become when they needed nursing support. That is NOT actually the truth anymore! The staff from management down really could intendance less virtually providing any intendance. The aides are rude and mouthy to the residents, have up to 30 minutes to answer a call calorie-free. I take observed the aides standing in the hall on their phones and not responding to telephone call lights. The housekeeping is poor, there is trash under the bed (used tissues for days!), family is not consulted when in that location are proposed changed in services-therapy for example! Direction does non return calls either! The latest was my Grandma'southward roommate (who moved in ii days before her passing) was on hospice, the end was well-nigh and they didn't move them to a private room. My Grandma had to picket and listen to this poor lady pass away and her family grieve! She was then not allowed in her room for several hours after she passed. This is not something that should exist on display for the residents to take to witness. They latest is that they desire to get my Grandma on hospice services-the challenge is she has no underlying condition that death will occur in a brusk period of time. It is about billing for additional services. If you lot care virtually our relative do non permit them live at Rockynol!

Overall, my experience with Rockynol was very positive. My family made the hard conclusion to have my Grandmother placed there when she had advanced Alzheimer's and we could no longer care for her at home. Rockynol was clean and nicely busy, and the floor my Grandmother was placed on was specially suited for Alzheimer'south patients, with other patients who were similarly dumb. Since she was still mobile and talkative, merely we could no longer care for her at home, it was wonderful to have a facility that could provide her the intendance she needed, only did not seem sterile or hospital similar. When my Grandmother deteriorated further, she was moved into a comfort care room. Information technology was nice that she didn't take to be moved to a infirmary or a different facility in her last days, but rather was still in the aforementioned facility and therefore did not have the defoliation or upset of a move. The staff was kind and caring, and several had specialized training and experience in dealing with Alzheimer's patients, which made them platonic in caring for my Grandmother.
